Following a two year spell of caring for his young son through a serious illness, Stan and his wife, Fiona, decided to start their own haulage business, Stan Wardrop & Son. With the help of the Royal Bank of Scotland they bought their first unit and trailer, Stan took care of the driving and Fiona dealt with the office work. With the help of their loyal customers and a good reputation they have grown in size and now have a fleet of vehicles and ten staff.

Stan now drives from his desk, concentrating on the day to day running of the company and taking care of each customers needs.
